Kathie Spector peacefully passed away on November 29, 2018 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Kathie was born Kathie Ellen Hirsch in Painesville, Ohio on December 22, 1940.  Kathie met the love of her life, Jim Spector while attending Ohio University.  They married in 1960 and had 2 daughters.  After several years in Ohio, Kathie and Jim made their home in Memphis, Tennessee and then retired to Florida in 2001.  They both greatly enjoyed living in The Villages.  Kathie loved to travel and together they saw the world. Israel, London, and Curacao were among her favorites. Kathie especially loved going on cruises. She was an avid bridge player and was a staple in many of The Villages bridge clubs. Kathie was a member of Temple Shalom in Oxford, Florida. A social butterfly who loved being with her many friends, Kathie will be remembered for her kind nature and her wonderful sense of humor.  She absolutely loved shopping and left no sale unturned.  She was a pet lover and adored her dog Toby. But most of all Kathie loved her family, her daughters Jennifer and Julie, son-in law Bill, grandchildren Scott, Claire, Adam, Elis, Samantha, and Crystal and her great grandson James. Kathie lived out the last year of her life in Oklahoma.

Kathie was preceded in death by her husband, Jim.

In lieu of flowers, friends may honor Kathie with donations to The Parent Child Center of Tulsa, or The Jewish National Fund-Plant a Tree.
