Kathleen Ann Ferrell (Burns), age 75, died on February 25, 2023, in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Kathleen (Kay) was born on February 13, 1948, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to parents Thomas J Burns and Rita Irene Bryce (Burns). She graduated from Bishop Kelley High School in the class of 1966, then furthered her education by obtaining a degree as a Registered Nurse (RN). As a nurse, Kay accepted many positions finally becoming a Hospice Nurse for most of her nursing career. Kay always took great pride and joy throughout her nursing career taking care of her patients throughout her 25+ year career.

Kay was deeply devoted in her family and loved spending time with her children and grandchildren by attending games, preparing her special dinners, and will always be remembered for her great Christmas traditions and love for baking. Kay also enjoyed traveling and seeing new and exciting places as well as having a passion for antiquing and was well-known for her exquisite decorating style! Her family and friends will always remember her as a devoted mother and grandmother (Nana K) and a loving wife to her husband Jim.

Kay is survived by her sons Brian Cox, Kevin Cox and his wife Rebecca Cox, Mark Cox and his fiance Kristina Green, her daughter Julliet Herrick, and her beautiful grandchildren Colton Cox, Reagan Cox, and Carter Cox. Kay is also survived by her brothers: Kevin Burns, Patrick Burns, Mark Burns, Phil Burns, her sisters Mary Burns and Maggie Burns. Kay had a large family that consisted of many nephews and nieces and cousins and other family members which she all adored.

Kay is preceded in death by her father Thomas J. Burns, her mother Rita I. Burns, her husband James R. Ferrell Jr., her brothers Cary M. Burns and Christopher D. Burns.
