Kathy McGivern was born October 7, 1948 and passed away on October 1, 2022. Kathy is survived by her brothers John McGivern (Donna) and Mike McGivern (Dana.) In addition, she is survived by nieces Kimberly Roberts (Peter); Staci McGivern and nephews Glenn Eddleman (Jamie) and Kyle McGivern (Kelly) and a host of cousins. Kathy worked for Eagle Redi-Mix Concrete as their accounting manager for a number of years after working at Mid-Continent Concrete. Between the two companies, Kathy worked for thirty plus years with many of the same people who became part of her family. Kathy was the best of big sisters. She was the head cheerleader for her sister, Candy, and brothers John and Mike. As life went by, she cheered for her great nephews Braden and John Roberts. She went to as many of their games and matches as possible. She was a lifelong fan of athletics. In particular, Oklahoma State and the Oklahoma City Thunder. She rarely missed either of their games on television. Kathy was a proud 1966 Bishop Kelley High School graduate. She was in the third four-year graduating class. Kathy donated many hours as well as money to different groups throughout her life including "loaning" monies to her brothers while they were still in high school and college. She will be sorely missed by all who knew her. She was predeceased by her father, John McGivern, Sr., mother, Arlene McGivern, and sister, Candy. She was a devoted daughter to her mom and dad. The family wishes to thank cousins Connie Eckstein and Julie Story and lifelong friend from K-12, Judy DeBolt Krafft, all of whom were of great comfort during her extended sickness over the last three years. Also, Randall Edgar, Kim Williams (who was like a daughter to Kathy) and all the Eagle Redi-Mix Concrete Company employees. The company went above and beyond for Kathy over these last three years. Not one week went by that several Eagle employees did not go by and check on our sister and aunt. It is hard to express our true gratitude to this company. In lieu of flowers, the family requests any donations be made to the Madalene Church, Bishop Kelley or a charity of your choice. A rosary will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 6th and funeral mass on Friday, October 7th at 10:00 a.m. Both at Church of the Madalene.
