Kathy was born and raised in Rockford, Illinois, and earned a Bachelors Degree in social work, and a Master's Degree in Human Resources. She spent her entire life doing work in child abuse and neglect, and was the founder of Broken Arrow Neighbors.

She was a counselor, a friend, mother, grandmother, and wife. To her family she was a saint.

The word itself means messenger, her message was unconditional love to all she knew.

A beautiful soul who didn't just wait for her turn to talk she would listen.
