Obituary

Kathryn "Hope" Goloby was born October 12, 1925 in Barnsdall, Oklahoma to Roy and Nell Foster. She went to meet our Lord on 01/09/2023 at 97 years old. She is now in a place we all dream of; love, peace, no pain, no anguish... only love, and the kind of love we will not know until we are with Him.
She is now sharing that love with many who went there before her. She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Nell Foster; her husband, Charles Goloby, Sr.; her son, Brian McDaniel; her former son-in-law, Robert Boyes; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Hope loved her church, Asbury Methodist. She enjoyed services and Sunday School. At one time she was active with Singing Ambassador's choir and she served as a Stephen's Minister.
In the early 1960s she was a Bellmon Belle supporting Henry Bellmon in his bid for governor in and she participated in the Tulsa Bar Auxiliary. She played bridge in various bridge clubs and was a volunteer at the Children's Medical Center.
In the late 1970s she met and married Charles. They traveled a great deal both with his job and for pleasure. On a trip to Europe, she met her good friend Doris Graham, also a member of Asbury.
Hope enjoyed working in her flower garden and she and Charlie enjoyed bird watching from their backyard. Charlie taught Mom how to fish from the bank and on a fishing boat; which she ultimately enjoyed very much.
All her life, she was a good cook. Some of the best things remembered was her cherry pie, pecan pie, fried chicken and gravy, cheese grits, Thanksgiving dressing, and her Watergate Salad.
After Charlie's passing n 2010, she adopted Emmie from the Humane Society. Anyone knowing Mom knew her love for Emmie.
Hope is survived by her daughter, Lynn Boyes; her grandson, Ryan Zeliff; two great grandchildren, Rylee and Jonas Zeliff; former son-in-law, David Zeliff; other family members, Travis and Haley Boggs; and of course, Emmie.
A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Friday, January 13, 2023, at Asbury Mason Chapel.
