Hanson, Kenneth Edward, 73, of Tulsa, went to be with the Lord, on Saturday, May 6, 2017. A celebration of Kenneth's life will be held at 11:00 AM, on Saturday, June 3, 2017, at Fitzgerald Southwood Colonial Chapel, in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
He was born in Rice Lake, Wisconsin, on September 10, 1943, the son of Edwin and Gladys (Ruid) Hanson. On April 11, 1969, he married Sandra Hart, in Denver, Colorado.
Ken had earned his Master's Degree at the Geophysical Institute in Fairbanks Alaska, and worked as an exploration geophysicist for Amoco throughout his professional career. He enjoyed fishing throughout his life. As a child he fished with his father and later with his daughter. Baseball was another pastime of his, never playing but watching and taking trips with a friend's team to the Roy Hobbs tournament. Mostly he loved reading many newspapers cover to cover with his dog at his feet.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Sandra Hanson, of Tulsa, daughter, Stacy Hanson, and Marcus Kwan, of Dallas, Texas, four legged child, Penny Lynn, granddog, Zophie, brother, Alan Hanson, and his wife, Trish, of Madison, Wisconsin, sister, Jennifer Rohrer, and her husband, Jim, of Holland, Michigan, and numerous other extended family members, and friends.
Ken was preceded in death by his parents, and his beloved dog, Princess.
