Kenneth A. Thienhardt
Born November 30, 1945 in Omaha, NE, Kenneth Thienhardt passed away Wednesday after a brief illness from cancer. Kenneth was adopted from Omaha Children's home at six months of age by Fred and Opal Thienhardt of Banner County NE. He lived in Lincoln, NE after attending college at Arizona State and the University of Nebraska until moving to Plano, TX in 1984 and has resided in Tulsa since 1989.
Kenneth is survived by his wife Phyllis, who he married in 1969, his son Trevor Thienhardt and wife Misty of Bixby, OK and his daughter Kelly Thorp and husband Michael of Jenks, OK. He was blessed with four grandchildren under the age of seven, who brought him much joy. He is survived by one sister, Julie Green, of Cheyenne, WY.
Ken's career included multiple fields including car sales, carpentry, commercial and residential remodeling, banking, and real estate appraising. Most recently he was Facilities Manager at Redeemer Covenant Church; a church family he came to love.
A memorial service will be held at Redeemer Covenant Church at 4 PM on Saturday, August 4th, 2012 .
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Redeemer Covenant Church-Thienhardt fund, or St. Francis Hospice.
