JACKSON, Ladell Marie, 87, passed away Monday, January 3, 2011, in Jenks, OK. She was born August 21, 1923, at Boggy Depot, OK, to Odell and Lillie (Robinson) Higginbotham. She graduated from Coleman High School in 1942 and married Kenneth Lee Jackson on December 21, 1946, in Denison, TX. They moved to Tulsa in 1993 from Durant, OK. She was a public school teacher for 32 years and taught at Rock Creek, Olney, Milburn, Coleman and Colbert, all in Oklahoma. After moving to Tulsa, Ladell began working with her son at Couch Pharmacy. She attended Abundant Life Temple in Durant and Woodlake Assembly of God in Tulsa. She is survived by son, Neal Jackson and wife Rita, Broken Arrow, OK; daughter, Pamela McKay and husband Charles, Tulsa, OK. Her grandchildren are Meagan (Teat) Malone and husband Jim, Corinth, TX; Shane Teat, Dallas, TX; Sarah Willis and husband Casey; Mignon Teat; Amanda Jackson and fiancé Ethan Eitel; and Jonathan Jackson, Tulsa, OK. Her great-grandchildren are Clifton Burrus, and Tristan and Kinlei Willis, Tulsa, OK. She was preceded in death by her parents, and sister, Anna Watkins, and brother, Lee Kirk Higginbotham. The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00pm Thursday, January 6, 2011. Funeral services will be held 1:00pm Friday, January 7, 2011.
