Lana Pray
Lana died following a year long battle with complications from Pneumonia. She was hospitalized eight times during the last year. She never gave up hope. Lana was born December 12, 1945, in Oklahoma City to Vernon and Geraldine Thrush Dobson. She has fought a life long battle with Crohns Disease. She loved music and loved to dance. The love of her life for the last 25 years is her husband Donald who survives her She is also survived by a son, Christian Porter and his children, Kristen, Dalton and Kaley Porter. Lana is survived by her brother Gary Dobson of Plano, Texas and another brother Max Dobson of Edmond, Oklahoma and a sister Judith Lamb of Tulsa, Oklahoma. In her active battle against this dreadful disease Lana was a volunteer for the Crohns & Colitis Foundation of America In 2000, Lana was featured in the publication of the CCFA for her spirit and dedication. As a result of her battle, the Donald W. Reynolds Foundation made a grant in her honor of $1,500,000 to the CCFA to establish a Genetics Blood Bank to further research on Crohns disease. Lana never let her struggle against Crohns affect her love of life and her desire to live a full life She is also survived by her step children, Melissa Easterling and Susan Rainey and three step grandchildren, Elizabeth Easterling, Catherine Easterling and Max Rainey. Funeral Service 2:00pm, Tuesday, January 4, 2011, at Fitzgerald Southwood Colonial Chapel, 918-291-3500.
