Born on November 27, 1935. Larry grew up on a farm with his father, Lucian and mother, Elizabeth, older brother, Glen and sister, Margie, all who have preceded him in death.
Larry graduated from Central High School, joined the US Navy, and then went to OU on a track scholarship. He finished his law degree at Tulsa University, while he was an officer with the Tulsa Police Department, where he made detective. After working at the DA office, Larry opened his own law firm, Oliver and Associates. He had a legendary manner about him that came from wearing his cowboy boots with his suit and tie, to his dramatic flair in the court room. Throughout his career, he was able to meet many interesting people, but the ones who always stood out to him were: the Kennedys, especially Ethel; Coretta Scott King, the wife of Martin Luther King; and Erin Brockovich. Larry practiced law, as a criminal defense attorney, for many years then became the Supreme Court Justice of the Muscogee Creek Nation. He was strong and never turned down a challenge, but was gentle, kind and loving, when no one was looking.
Larry loved his dog, Annie; his three children, Lisa, Lori and Lance; and his four grandchildren, Lindsey, Haylee, Sawyer, and Oliver. He was able to meet his great granddaughter, Reagan, this past year.
Over the last ten years he slowed down considerably but still enjoyed his family, museums and garage sales. He loved a good gathering of friends and family and gourmet cooking in his kitchen. He loved art (he had taught himself to paint with watercolors), country western music, John Wayne, and golf.
