Laura Kirsten Carter was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma on October 10, 1963 to John and Jane Carter. She passed this life on March 17, 2025.
Laura leaves behind her sister, Belinda, and husband Heath Haddock of Montrose, Colorado, her nieces and Erica Haddock, and her nephew Ronnie Ladigo and his parents Mike and Christine, plus a multitude of friends and relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents and her grandparents.
Laura graduated, in 1981, from Will Rogers High School in Tulsa and received her college degree from William Woods in Fulton, Missouri. After graduation, she returned to Tulsa to live out the rest of her life. Among other jobs, she worked at Amoco and route 66 Harley Davidson, and more recently she enjoyed being self-employed as a graphic artist. In all of her life journeys, she made many friends from all walks of life.
Laura was known for always putting the needs of others before her own, without asking for much, if anything, in return. She enjoyed spending time with her family, friends, and people in general, and she never really knew a stranger.
Laura's smile, compassion for others, and her spirit for adventure will be missed by many.
The family is so very grateful for and appreciates the friendships, love and assistance from her 4 "Angels": Paula Talley, Kerin Todaro, Marjorie Ziegler and Mona Brimmer. We are also thankful for the recent visits, calls, texts, check-ins and prayers.
If possible, we encourage you to donate an item, or toy, to Tulsa's Annual Toy Run this year, in remembrance of Laura.
