On Friday, June 28th, Laura Elizabeth "Kay" Williams Kovach, passed away at the age of 82. Kay was born to Minnie and Harry Williams on August 29, 1936 in Daisytown, Pennsylvania. She was the 2nd youngest of five children. After graduating from California Community High School, Kay went on to graduate from cosmetology school and practiced as a licensed beautician until she married in 1958. Kay raised four children in Warren, Ohio and then moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma where she worked as a textbook manager on the campus of Tulsa University. Kay's life was all about her children and grandchildren. She would say they were her greatest accomplishment! Kay enjoyed math, music, and playing board games. She was an avid follower of basketball and could whistle up a storm. Kay is survived by her children: Lori (Jim) Sylvester of McKinney, TX; Jill (Dan) Vise of Tulsa, OK; William (Tara) Kovach of Warren, OH; and Donna (Jim) Senseman of Port Charlotte, FL. She will be greatly missed by her wonderful grandchildren: Grace and Tyler Sylvester; Ben Vise; Colton and Harper Kovach; and Allison and Julie Senseman. She is also survived by her favorite sister, Janet Virgin of Confluence, PA; many nieces, nephews and friends. No services pending. Kay was preceded in death by her parents: Minnie and Harry Williams; her brothers Bud, Richard, and Larry Williams; and her grandson Samuel Vise. No services planned.
