Lawrence Earl "Larry" Martin
October 5, 1951 - April 12, 2025
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Lawrence Earl Martin, known affectionately as "Larry," on April 12, 2025, at the age of 73. Born in Tulsa, Oklahoma, Larry grew up in Broken Arrow and later returned to Tulsa, where he lived the majority of his life.
Larry was a devoted father, grandfather, and friend, whose life was marked by his deep love for his family and community. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Marsha, and his parents, Glenn and Faye Martin.
Larry made his family the center of his world. He is survived by his sister Glenna Martin, daughter Kristina Denney (Greg), daughter Christina White (Kurt), son Jacob Martin (Stefanie), and daughter Molly Stephens (David). He also leaves behind his cherished grandchildren: Kasey Toliver, Katelyn Denney, Chase Denney, Jack Denney, Debra Stephens, Andrew White, Melody Martin, Walter Denney, Alex White, Wyatt Stephens, Morgan Martin, Rowan Stephens, and Gideon Martin. He devoted his time and energy to his loved ones, always ensuring they felt cared for and supported. His legacy is one of selflessness, love, and a commitment to family that will never be forgotten.
An Eagle Scout, Larry carried a lifelong love for the Boy Scouts and the values it instilled in him. His dedication to the organization, and his passion for helping others, remained a constant throughout his life. He also earned a Bachelor's Degree from Oklahoma State University, which further shaped his professional and personal life.
Larry found joy in hiking, playing softball, and spending time outdoors. He was also an avid woodworker and carpenter, often creating beautiful pieces that reflected his talent and attention to detail. His love for animals was another defining characteristic of his generous spirit.
A memorial service celebrating Larry's life will be held on April 21, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Ivy Chapel, located at 1402 S. Boulder Ave, Tulsa, OK. All who knew Larry are welcome to attend and share in remembering a man whose love, wisdom, and kindness touched so many lives.
Larry's love for life, his family, and the outdoors will be dearly missed, but his memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved him.
