Leda Saffa Caruthers February 21, 1925 – January 7, 2016

Leda Saffa Caruthers, who passed at 90 years of age, was born in Drumright, Oklahoma on February 21, 1925. She was the daughter of Paul and Ollie (Azam) Saffa, the youngest of nine children.  Leda married Oris Jack Caruthers and they had four daughters.

Leda was a spirited woman who inspired her family with her Catholic faith, devotion to her family, and loving service to others. She had an infectious laugh which always made others feel happy and welcome. She was a longtime member of the Church of the Madalene.

Leda was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter Cynthia, and her brothers and sisters. She is survived by her children: Deborah Clancy and husband Terry,  Jamie Farha and husband Clay, and Jacque Caruthers; grandchildren, Paul Clancy, Michele Clancy, Leann Farha, Philip Farha, Clint Farha, Christine Farha, Tabatha Green, Tonya Green and Chris Green; two great-grandchildren, Aidan and Tiernan Clancy.

Leda will be most remembered for her strength, incredible grace and the twinkle in her eyes. She will be deeply missed.

Very special thanks goes to Lyline for her endless care, devotion and friendship during this difficult time. The family also expresses gratitude to Hospice of Green Country for their compassionate care.

Rosary will be Friday, January 8th, at 7 PM, and Funeral Mass on Saturday, January 9th, at 10 AM, both at Church of the Madalene.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Church of the Madalene, 3188 East 22nd Street, Tulsa, OK  74114.
