Obituary

Lendell Zane Williams, beloved husband, father and PaPa, died November 21st at St Francis Hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Len was born on May 25th, 1938 to Leonard Allen Williams and Hazel Mae (Laxton) Williams in Burr Valley, Oklahoma. Len was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Wilma Jean and Mary Allen. Len is survived by his beloved wife Alma of 63 years; daughters Kim Williams and Kristi Williams; grandsons Robby Williams (Kimmy) and Jackson Bart; great grandchildren Mia and Hudson Williams; siblings Cleta Piearcy, Joy Corvin (Dennis), and Doyle Williams (Judy). As well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Len attended grade school at Olney and high school at Clarita, OK, he was the valedictorian of his class. After receiving advice from his cousins he became a rough neck in the Oil business. Len put himself through Murray State College and Oklahoma State University while working for Apache Corporation. Len married the love of his life in June of 1960 and graduated from OSU in 1961 with a Bachelor's of Science degree in Geology/Engineering.

Len continued to work for Apache and was transferred to Midland, TX and Houston, TX, He was transferred to Tulsa, OK in 1971. After deciding to leave Apache he started working for Dyco Petroleum in 1972. He built a successful career and was well known in the industry. Len mentored many individuals along the way and made lifelong friendships.

Len loved hunting, fishing, playing basketball and baseball and watching his grandsons and great grandchildren's sports as well. Later in life he enjoyed planting and caring for his flowers. After retiring from Dyco he was able to spend quality time with his Grandsons and great grandchildren.
Len and Alma purchased a house at Grand Lake in 1985 where many memories with great friends and family were made.

Len also found enjoyment in racing/breeding quarter horses as well as thoroughbreds during the years. During retirement he remained active in the oil/gas business establishing L.Z. Williams Energy, Inc.
Summing up his life well lived, raising and providing for his family and cherishing the moments day by day. Len Williams' Legacy will continue, please know that each person who is reading this held a place in his heart and he remembered each one of you.

Thank you PaPa for being a huge part of our lives. This is not "Goodbye " but "See you Later".
Len is being laid to rest at Calvary Cemetery in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Memorial Services will be held on December 6th at 11:00 am at Fitzgerald's Southwood, 91st and Harvard.
