Lillian Marie Gaudet Hall, was born on July 3, 1925 in New Orleans, LA was the first of eight children born to Lillian and Maurice Gaudet, and passed away on November 26, 2016.
Lillian graduated from Mount Carmel High School in New Orleans and subsequently attended business school. She met her husband Guy Hall Jr., while he was stationed at the Army Air Force base in New Orleans. They were married September 29, 1942. Together they had five children, Dennis, GuyAnn, Phillip, Ellen and John.
After WWII they moved to Tulsa where they helped run the family business, Hall's Court, a motel on Route 66 in West Tulsa. There they raised three of their five children before moving to Sherwood Forrest in Southwest Tulsa, completing their family of five.
During their years at Hall's Court, Lillian's husband, Guy, ran for public office and was elected Street Commissioner of Tulsa, an office he held for 8 years.
Lillian was a devoted wife, loving mother and homemaker for many years. She was also a talented pianist and vocalist. During the 1970's she earned a Real Estate license and worked as a real estate agent for her son's, company for over 10 years.
Lillian has been a member of St. Catherine Catholic Church since 1946. She was a very active member through all of those years and participated in Alter Society, was a beloved RCIA instructor, Communion Minister, Lector and earned the Martin and Ramona Groden Stewardship Award for outstanding volunteer service at St. Catherine's. She earned and was awarded Diocesan Council of Catholic Women, Woman of the Year for St. Catherine's several years ago. Lillian was active in Catholic Charities as a volunteer as well.
Lillian is survived by her five children and their spouses, Dennis and Nelda Hall, GuyAnn and Jim Miller, Phillip and Marian Hall, Ellen and Roger Eldredge and John and Shannon Hall. She has 16 surviving grandchildren and 1 deceased. She has 27 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by two of her brothers, Maurice Gaudet and Cyril Gaudet.
She was the most kind, considerate and beloved mother and grandmother. We will all miss her wit, her keen sense of humor her incredible memory and her love for her family. She was our birthday calendar, remembering every birthday of every person in her family by heart. Her mind was sharp and she never missed a beat. She was our family Matriarch and we are comforted knowing she is in heaven with our Father. May our beautiful mother rest in peace.
Visitation will be from 9 AM until 5 PM and a Rosary will be at 7 PM, both on Wednesday, November 30, 2016, at Fitzgerald Southwood Colonial Chapel, 3612 E 91st Street, Tulsa. Funeral Mass will be Thursday, December 1st, 11 AM, at Saint Catherine Parish, 4532 South 25th West Avenue, Tulsa, followed by entombment at Calvary Cemetery.
