Linda Barton, age 73, of Tulsa, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully in her home on October 13th, 2025. She was born on August 20, 1952, in Kansas City, Missouri, to the late Orvel and Susan Martin.
When Linda was just two months old, her family moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma, where she grew up surrounded by music and faith. She spent much of her youth singing in the church choir, and some of her fondest memories were traveling to perform at various churches in the state.
Linda graduated from Central High School in downtown Tulsa and, a few years later, embraced becoming a wife and mother. She spent many dedicated years working as a bookbinder at Modern Bindery, where she not only made books but also made a lot of friends.
A lifelong OU Sooner football fan, Linda also had a deep love for the outdoors. She especially enjoyed spending time at the lake doing activities such as boating and camping. Anything nautical brought her happiness, and she cherished every opportunity to visit the beach. Closer to home, Linda found joy in family gatherings and treasured every moment with her beloved grandchildren, who called her Nana.
Linda was a devoted mother to Michelle Bonnett and Michael Foster, and a proud grandmother to Hayden, Ethan, Danielle, and Kyle. She also leaves behind her 3 sisters, Rita, Bonnie, and Lois-along with several cousins, nieces, and many dear friends who were blessed to know her.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Alan, and her grandson, Kyle, both of whom she held forever close to her heart.
Though our hearts ache in her absence, we find comfort in knowing that Linda's love, kindness, and light will continue to guide us. She was, and always will be, one of life's greatest blessings. Her legacy lives on through her family and all those she touched. She will be deeply missed and eternally loved.
A Memorial service will be held on, Friday, November 7, 2025, at 3:00 p.m., to celebrate Linda's beautiful life and lasting legacy.
