Obituary
Lorane Ryan Meacham died March 10, 2014 in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 82. She was born June 26, 1931 in Buffalo, New York.
Lorane graduated from Geneseo Teachers College in 1953 In Geneseo, NY, with a degree in Library Science. She was a school librarian and taught social studies at Alcott, Mitchell and Lanier Elementary schools in the Tulsa Public School system over a span of 25 years.
Lorane was preceded in death by her first husband, William Ryan in 1973, and by her second husband, Wesley Meacham in July of 2013.
She is survived by her sister, Diane Laks and brother-in-law Kenneth Laks. Her surviving children are Jeffrey Ryan, Stephanie Ryan Gerkovich and husband Michael, Matthew Ryan and wife Karen of Tulsa and David Ryan of Friday Harbor, Washington, and her stepsons Richard Meacham, William Meacham and John McCoy. She is also survived by six grandchildren: Amanda Manning, Meagan Hermanson, Elizabeth Bogert, Joseph Gerkovich, Erin Newsome and Alison Baker and five great grandchildren.
A viewing will be held at Fitzgerald's Funeral Home, 1402 South Boulder Avenue, on Wednesday, March 12th, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The memorial service will be held at the Memorial Park Cemetery Chapel at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 13, 2014.
