After retiring, he volunteered for Little Lighthouse, Reading Partners and helped foster dogs with Rescued 'n Ready Animal Foundation. Cap is survived by his wife of 55 years, Linda, of Tulsa, daughters Ashley Baxter of Mandeville, LA, Tracey Gutman (Jeff) of The Woodlands, TX, son Cap Baxter III of Kohler, WI, son-in-law Ron Lohr of Dallas, TX, nine grandchildren, brother Tom Baxter of Independence, KY, his beloved canine companions, Squeaky and Bentley and the many rescue dogs he helped foster. He is preceded in death by his parents and daughter, Darci Lohr. Cap will be missed by his family, many friends, and all whose lives he touched.
