Lucille Florance Acord was born August 28, 1932 in Langley, Oklahoma, to William Edward Satterwhite and Ora May McCoy, the 9th of 10 children. Lucille had six brothers, Charlie, George, Frank, Bob, Jack, and a brother who died at birth, and three sisters, Daisy, Mable and Rosa May. She grew up in Ketchum, Oklahoma. Lucille married Virgle Acord on November 10th, 1949. They moved to Tulsa where they started a family. Lucille and Virgle had two girls, Brenda and Cleta. The family moved to Oologah in November of 1973. Lucille worked as a cook at Saint Francis Hospital and Wood Manor Nursing Home for many years.
Lucille attended church at Oologah Assembly of God for 30 years. She loved to garden, crochet, bake, and do jigsaw puzzles.
Lucille was preceded in death by her mother, father, five brothers, three sisters, her daughter Cleta, and one grandchild Charity.
She is survived by Virgle, her loving husband of sixty-nine years; her brother Jack Satterwhite and his wife Sharron; her daughter Brenda Loyd and her husband Gary; her grandchildren, Ronnie Ewert and his wife Angela, Charisma Schrader and her husband Jerry, James Wilkerson and Betty, Cody Roberts and Jennifer, and Casey Roberts and Corina; her great-grandchildren, Nathan Carter, Caleb Ewert, Blaize Schrader, Collin Schrader, Emma Wilkerson, Mary Neely, Greg Wilkerson, and Raiden Roberts; and her great-great-granddaughter, Nevaeh.
Lucille was deeply loved and will be greatly missed. She was the kindest, sweetest person you could ever meet, and she made the best macaroni and cheese you've ever eaten.
We love you and will forever miss you.
Services will be Friday, March 22, 2019, 10:00 a.m., at Oologah Assembly of God Church. Burial will be at Oakhill Cemetery in Oologah, Oklahoma.
