Masson, Lucille R – died peaceably at Tulsa's Montereau in Warren Woods on April 5th. She was a grand, feisty lady. Born Lucille Rose Pacifico on October 2, 1920, the sixth daughter of Angelo S. DeMasi Pacifico and Carmella Fricchione Pacifico, she grew up in northern Minnesota. As a child, she loved picking wild blueberries in the woodlands of the Iron Range. She met and married her love, Andre Joseph Masson, in Minnesota, birthing three children who survive her: Jean-Marie Muir of St. Louis, MO; Laurence O. Masson of Oakland, CA; and Paul A. Masson of San Francisco, CA.
After graduating from Eveleth Junior College, she took a graphics art job in St. Paul, Minnesota drawing newspaper ads visuals by hand. She had a life-long interest in art. Perseverance was her creed. "Do your best" and never quitting were her approaches to life. The wife of a petroleum geologist, Lucy lived in many places. She was a fabulous chef with a taste for rose wine and loving mother, sacrificing her artistic talents to her family. Her sense of song and humor endured throughout her life. We miss her.
Please recognize Lucy's passing by a donation to the Catholic Charities of Eastern Oklahoma.
