Obituary
Lucille J. Sparks, age 99, died in Tulsa, on Saturday, September 24, 2016. She was predeceased by her husband Dale "D.B" Sparks in 2002.
A witty and independent woman, Lucille was a generous and caring volunteer, logging in more than 5,000 hours with the St. John's Auxiliary. She very much enjoyed spending time outdoors on her patio watching the birds and enjoying the fresh air. An avid gardener, she said she'd "prefer to be outdoors and hungry, than indoors and full."
She appreciated poetry her entire life and became quite a poet herself, writing a commemorative poem for every birthday in her later years.
Visitation will be at Fitzgerald Ivy Chapel, 1402 South Boulder Avenue on Tuesday, from 10:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Rosary will be Tuesday, 7:00 p.m. and Funeral will be Wednesday, 1:00 p.m., both at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 1727 South 75th East Avenue, Tulsa. Interment will be at Captain Cemetery in Skiatook, Oklahoma.
