Lynn (Marilynn Frances) Schmuhl of Tulsa, Oklahoma passed away unexpectedly at home Tuesday, February 23, 2016. Lynn was born June 16, 1960 in Wheaton, Illinois to Richard and Frances (Robinson) Biedermann. She attended Wheaton North High School and Edina (Minnesota) High School, and then moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma which she called home. Lynn married Jeff Schmuhl and together they raised two daughters, Karen and Kimberly. Lynn was very active in her daughters' activities and school lives, volunteering countless hours running SwimTulsa. Many of her daughters' friends and teammates think of her as another mom.
As her parents aged, they moved to Tulsa, and she became their caregiver. Seeing their needs, Lynn volunteered for the Alzheimer's Association and Oklahoma Honor Flight (OHF). She believed strongly in honoring veterans, served on the board of directors for OHF, and coordinated many events over the years of their operation in Tulsa. Lynn also ran a successful wallpaper hanging business for many years. Most notably Lynn will be remembered as an example of true selflessness and unconditional love. She always put the needs of others before her own and will be sincerely and deeply missed.
Lynn is survived by her two daughters Karen (Josh) Walker of Norman, OK and Kimberly Schmuhl of Honolulu, HI, two sisters Nancy (Jim) MacLachlan of Spring Lake, MI and Carol (Mic) Armstrong of Sparta, WI, and four grandchildren Raleigh, Zoe, Delaney, and Cannon Walker.
Visitation will be held at Fitzgerald Funeral Services Southwood Colonial Chapel on Sunday, February 28 from 3-5 pm.
