Margaret enjoyed taking cruises with her friends and travelling with her family. She loved playing bridge, being in Junior League, St. Rita's Guild, St. Charles Guild, and volunteering at St. John Hospital as a Pink Lady. She looked forward to seeing her friends at the annual family Egg Nog party, originated by her mother Rita. She absolutely loved spending time with her grandchildren Rourke Smith, Colin Gillen, Bridget Gillen, and Kevin Gillen. She passed peacefully at her home on August 5th surrounded by family.
