Margaret Sherry Meyer (Marge McNearney) was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma on February 18, 1932 and passed away after a long illness on September 12, 2026, in Tulsa. She was the second of eight children born to William J. Sherry and Margaret Harrington Sherry. She was known as Marge to her family and friends and MiMi to her 9 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

Marge graduated from Monte Cassino School and attended Maryville College in St. Louis, Missouri where she met her husband, Robert Andrew McNearney. Together they had four children, Eileen Hulsey (Benjamin), Anne McNearney, Claire Trinidad (Ken), and Matt McNearney (Lori).

She was well known in Tulsa for her successful clothing store, Marge McNearney, that she opened in 1963 and operated in Utica Square for twenty-four years. Her delightful store provided exquisite style, clothing for every occasion, and unparalleled service, as well as the most beautifully wrapped gifts! She made many, many friends who also ran successful children's stores across the country including her husband, Gene Sims, who owned similar stores in Pennsylvania. They married in 1982 and both continued to run their own stores until they retired to Lake Worth, Florida in 1987, where they enjoyed the sunshine and the warmth of their families.

Marge and Gene hosted family vacations and celebrations that are happy memories for everyone. In 2006 they moved to Tulsa to be closer to Marge's family. They joined the Montereau community where they reconnected with friends and met many new people. They were active in the community until Gene passed away in 2008.

Marge and John Meyer met following the death of both of their spouses. After a whirlwind courtship they married in 2010 and continued living at Montereau. The last chapters of their lives were enriched by the loving relationship that they shared and the love of their extended families. She and John enjoyed eleven happy years filled with fun and laughter.

She was predeceased by her sisters, Patty Sherry, Mary Cassidy, Jane Harper, Teresa Sherry and brother William J. Sherry Jr. She is survived by her sister, Anne Erker and her brother, Richard J. Sherry (Trish); her children and their spouses; her grandchildren Sarah Hulsey (Tim), Natalie Delmage (Michael), Matt Snyder (Susan), Monica Snyder, Alex Trinidad (Chelsea), Evan Trinidad, Kyle Trinidad (Katie), Ross McNearney, and Sean McNearney; and her great-grandchildren, Brock VanZandt, Luca Delmage, Mia Delmage, Knox Trinidad, Cary Trinidad, and Ellis Trinidad. She is a loving aunt and great-aunt to many.

Marge was a devoted daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend. She was a welcoming and caring part of the lives of all who loved her. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
