On October 27, 2015, Margaret H. Rinaldi passed away, called into the arms of our loving Lord. She was born on November 7, 1932, in Illinois, and spent the latter half of her life in Tulsa.
Peg is survived by her sister Lee and brother Michael; children Steven, Karyn, and Robert; and grandchildren Anthony, J. Alexander, Robert, and Jennifer. She was preceded by her parents Michael and Helen, her husband Roger, and her sister Patricia.
Her family wishes to express their heartfelt appreciation for all the loving prayers over the duration of Peg's long struggle with her illness.
Peg had a lifelong love of teaching, helping her students develop a love and appreciation of mathematics, and learning and school more generally. She started her teaching career shortly after her college graduation with a mathematics degree. She taught at Monte Cassino School in Tulsa and Catoosa High School, where she eventually became the head of the math department. Even after she retired, Peg's devotion to teaching continued through tutoring and service to the San Miguel School of Tulsa.
Peg's community service extended beyond the classroom through her activities with the Church of the Madalene in Tulsa. She volunteered for many years with Meals on Wheels, helping those in need throughout the Tulsa community.
Funeral services will be Monday, November 2, 10:00 am at the Church of the Madalene with a reception to follow. There will be a rosary service at 6:00 pm on Sunday, November 1, at the Church of the Madalene.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the San Miguel School of Tulsa, 2444 E. Admiral Blvd, Tulsa, OK, 74110, would be greatly appreciated.
We will miss her sweet smile, her wit, and above all her giving spirit and devotion to her family, her students, her friends, and her community.
