Margaret Marchant Rose, 64, died on Friday, November 9th, 2012 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was born September 19th, 1948, in Tahlequah, Oklahoma to Jessie and Edwin Marchant. Raised in Tahlequah, she earned a bachelor's degree from Northeastern State University and a master's degree from Oklahoma State University. Margaret was a lifelong teacher, with over 25 years experience teaching special education students at the elementary and junior high levels. She was a truly gifted educator with a genuine passion for her work in special education. Margaret is survived by her husband of 44 years, Bill Rose, daughter Cathy Rose-Bergenroth and husband Neil Bergenroth, daughter Karen Rose-Valentine, granddaughter Emily Bergenroth, twin brother Dr. Kenneth Marchant, and sister Mary Smith. A memorial service will be held at Fitzgerald Southwood Colonial Chapel on Friday, November 16th, at 2:00PM. Memorial contributions can be made to Special Olympics of Oklahoma or The Little Lighthouse.
