Richard and Clara Griffin welcomed their second daughter, Marjorie, in July of 1921. New additions grew their family to seven siblings. Marjorie was known to all as Mickey. Mickey was devoted to her family and her Roman Catholic faith. She graduated with the Class of '39 from Holy Family High School. Her life altered course when she met and fell in love with Robert Billy Epperson. Mickey and Billy were married for over seventy years. They had three daughters: twins, Rosemary and Kathleen, and four years later, Patricia. Mickey passed away on May 17, 2024.
Her loving husband, Billy, and beloved daughter, Kathleen, preceded her passing. Five of her beloved sisters and brothers also preceded her: Helen, Richard (Dick), Mary Jo, Tommy, and Janet. She is survived by her daughters, Rosemary Epperson and Patricia Wingate, as well as her brother, Jack Griffin. She has four grandchildren: Amy Douglas; Wesley Gray; Andrew Gray; and David Wingate, and four great grandchildren. She was known as Aunt Mickey or Aunt Sugar to her 27 nieces and nephews, and she loved them all.
