Mark Andrew Williams, 55, passed away on October 5, 2014. He was born July 9, 1959 in Norfolk, Virginia to Robinson Andy and Gayle Sears Williams. He was preceded in death by his father; by his sister, Robyn Williams Ham, and by his nephew Samuel Wesley Ham. Mark is survived by his wife, Alisa Williams; mother Gayle Williams; and brother Robert Theron and wife Ashley Nye Williams. Mark is also survived by nieces Amanda Ham, Rachel Motte and Susan Ham. Mark graduated from Henry Clay High School in Lexington, Kentucky in 1977. He entered the U.S. Navy in June 1980 and he served from 1980-1983 on the aircraft carrier U.S.S. John F. Kennedy during the Iraq-Iran War. He was a security yeoman in the captain's office with top secret clearance. He graduated from Eastern Kentucky University in 1996 with a B.S. in Assets Protection Management. On June 4, 1988 he married Alisa Rae Stephens. He was a huge fan of Kentucky Wildcat basketball and loved following former Kentucky players in their professional careers in the NBA. He also enjoyed reading poetry and thriller novels. He loved to watch Jeopardy and C-Span television, especially Booknotes. He was a "devoted dad" to two Yorkshire Terriers - Jasper and Belle. Visitation 6:00 ~ 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 8, 2014 and Service Thursday, October 9, 2014, at 10 AM all at Fitzgerald Southwood Colonial Chapel followed by burial at Calvary Cemetery.
