Marta Segura was born on November 4, 1932 in Tulsa County and entered God's Kingdom of Heaven on June 21st, 2024.

Marta was a devout Catholic and member of Parish Christ The King; She served as an Oblate with the Benedictine community of St. Joseph's Monastery for many years. Her passion for people sparked her career as a nurse as she graduated from Tulsa County AVTS Vocational School of Practical Nursing in 1975 and worked as an LPN for St. John's Medical Center for 21 years, retiring in 1996.
In her free time, Marta enjoyed sewing and embroidering; nothing gave her more joy than creating clothes for her grandkids, including frilly dresses for her granddaughters.
Marta is preceded in death by her husband, Fred Segura, and son, David Segura. She was survived by her children, Freda Stunkel, Bill Segura (Jo) of Tulsa, and Bud Segura (Andy) of Kansas City. She was also survived by grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.

Marta's passing leaves a void that cannot be filled but her spirit lives on in the hearts of those she touched. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, June 29th, 2024, at 11am, at Parish Christ The King, with a viewing taking place on Friday, June 28th, 2024 at Fitzgerald Funeral Home, Ivy Chapel (1402 S. Boulder Ave, Tulsa, OK), between 9am-5pm; family will be present 2pm-5pm.
