Martha Smith Kirk, 84, departed from this life on Sunday, June 17th. She was surrounded by her husband of 62 years, Gordon; 6 children, Kristin, Kevin, Karen, Ken, Kelly, and Ann (her niece); several grandchildren, and one great granddaughter, all whom were the center of her life. Martha was born and raised in Cheyenne, Wyoming. After several moves, in 1987 Tulsa became her home where she and her dearest friend, Suzy Sloan raised their families together. She was a long-time member of Al-anon and volunteered as a voice for several national charities. As an active member of St. Antony's Orthodox Church, she became the self-appointed official welcomer to the church. This effort, together with her immense love and joy in the children at St. Antony's was spectacular. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at St. Antony's Orthodox Church, 6th and Columbia, followed by The Trisagion Service at 7:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday at 10:00 a.m. also at St. Antony's Orthodox Church. In lieu of flowers, please make memorial contributions St. Antony's Orthodox Church.
