Mary F. Carle, 95, of Tulsa, went to be with the Lord, on Thursday, November 15, 2018. Visitation will be held at Fitzgerald Southwood Colonial Chapel from 9:00 AM – 10:30 AM, on Wednesday, November 21, 2018, with a graveside service at 11:00 AM. Following the committal ceremony, a celebration of Mary's life will be held in the Family Room at Asbury United Methodist Church at 12:00 PM, with a reception to immediately follow.
Mary was born on March 31, 1923, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, the daughter of James and Frances (Swihart) Antrim. She grew up in the Bethany, Oklahoma area, and graduated from High School there. She then attended the University of Oklahoma, earning her Bachelor's Degree in Library Science. After graduating from college, she went to work for Phillips Petroleum, and that is where she met the love of her life, and future husband, Joseph Carle. In her later years, Mary was a homemaker, charter member of Asbury UMC and remained very involved in her church, and community. She volunteered at Children's Medical Center, and also was extremely active with, and passionate about the mission of the Alzheimer's Association. She enjoyed playing Bridge, and spending time with her family, and friends.
Mary is survived by her son, Steve Carle, and his wife, Rita, of Tulsa, three grandchildren, Jodi Williams, and her husband, Paul, of Rochester, IN, and Wendy Thompson, of Broken Arrow, OK, Jimmy Sparks of Tulsa; five great-grandchildren, sister, Pat Hill, and her husband, Neil, of Oklahoma City, OK, sister in law, Rose Carle, of Bartlesville, OK, and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and husband.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made in Mary's name to the Alzheimer's Association Oklahoma Chapter, 2448 E 81st St #3000, Tulsa, OK 74137.
