Jean was born in Granite, Oklahoma, on July 27th, 1943, to adoring parents Ralph Andrew and Mary Eloise Goad. Jean was a proud graduate of Altus High school in 1961, Oklahoma University in 1965, and Tulane University in 1969. Following the completion of her Master's degree, Jean felt the Lord calling her to a life of social work in Oklahoma. She heeded that call and spent over 50 years serving in child welfare services.
In her free time, Jean enjoyed being with friends, being the family historian and photographer, traveling, being a part of the Irish American Club, attending her nieces and nephews events, performing as Zippity-Do-Dah the clown, studying scripture, being a member of St. Bernard's church and choir, and spending time with her rescue dogs.
The most important thing in the world to Jean was her relationship with Jesus Christ. She was baptized as an infant, came to faith in Christ in 1972, and was confirmed in the Catholic Church on April 19,1990. She believed her ministry was to serve the children of Tulsa, be faithful in intercessory prayer, and encourage others.
Jean is preceded in death by her parents, R.A. and Eloise Goad; cousin Charles Morris; and uncles Doyle, Wayne, and Charles Morris. Wayne and Ferman Goad. Aunts Jean Ellis and Ruth Ware.
