Mary Catherine Tighe McGraw, devoted wife, mother, sister, and grandmother passed away on the 9th of June 2024, at the age of 89. Mary was born on the 12th of October 1934, in Longview, Texas.

She received her registered nurse's degree with St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She met her husband Jim on a blind date and married him despite being warned by family not to do it. Mary was a stay-at-home wife and mother until her children were school age and then she went back to work part-time in hospitals as a post-partum nurse. As a benefit to Jim's job with the oil company, Mary and Jim got to travel the world together. She was an active member of Saint John Vianney Catholic Church. Mary and Jim spent countless hours volunteering with parish ministries including the food bank and counseling women on parole. She also helped to run the church's health clinic.

Mary married James Joseph McGraw on June 21st, 1958, and they had two children: James, III and Kathryn. Mary is survived by her son Jim and his wife Helen and their son Joseph. She is also survived by her daughter, Kathryn and her husband Gary and their children Bailey and Matthew.
A funeral Mass will be held 10:00 am Friday, June 14th at Christ the King Catholic Church (Mary Queen of Peace Chapel) Burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery.
