Mary Margaret Nelson, age 75, of Parker, Texas passed away peacefully surrounded by family on November 2nd, 2024. Born on April 10th, 1949, in Tulsa, OK, Mary was a cherished daughter, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend whose warmth and kindness touched everyone she met.

Mary grew up in Tulsa, where she cultivated a deep love and strong bonds with family and friends. She attended Bishop Kelley High School. Mary dedicated over 35 years to a career in healthcare as a Respiratory Therapist where she was known for her dedication, hard work, and willingness to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.

Outside of her professional life, Mary was a devoted mother to Blake Nelson, and a beloved grandmother to Dylan and Jacob Nelson. Her family remembers her as caring and generous. A person who never hesitated to offer a warm meal, a listening ear, and wise words of advice.

Mary was passionate about Bass Fishing; some of her other hobbies included Stain Glass and Ceramics. Her life was a testament to kindness, compassion, and resilience, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Mary is survived by her husband of 51 years, Gary Nelson, her son Blake and daughter in law Sara, her grandsons Dylan and Jacob, 6 sisters and one brother.

She is preceded in death by her parents Henry and Luella Lahmeyer, brother James and sister Sally

A celebration of Mary's life will be held on Saturday, Nov 9th at Fitzgerald Southwood Colonial Chapel at 12:00 pm. Visitation is Friday, Nov 8 from 5:00 -8:00 also at Fitzgerald Southwood.
