Mary Ann was born on February 16, 1953 in Cleveland, OH to parents Richard James Rossbach and Mary Lee Michel. She graduated from Our Lady of Angels High School in Cincinnati in the class of 1971, then furthered her education by obtaining a BS in Elementary Education and Teaching from Langston University and a Masters in Theology from The University of Scranton. Mary Ann was a lifelong educator, sharing her faith and love of books and music with students at several Catholic schools in Tulsa including Marquette, Monte Cassino, and most recently at Holy Family. On October 6, 1972 she married Jack Putman, and they raised their family in Tulsa, OK. Mary Ann was a Benedictine Oblate, avid reader, musician and singer. She took great joy in the development of young children, from her own children and grandchildren to her students. She was an advocate for young mothers from her early years in La Leche League to her more recent work at the Madonna House.

She is survived by her sister Margaret Lee, her brother John Rossbach, and her children Alethea (Joe) Sabo, Maggie (Chris) Kelly, Elizabeth (Andrew) Roin, James Putman, and John Putman, and her grandchildren Jack Kelly, Katie Kelly, Tommy Kelly, Miriam Roin, and Daniel Roin.
