Mary Michele Swartz, age 42, died on May 28th, 2025, in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Mary was born on August 26th, 1982 in Boston, Massachusetts, to parents David and Michele Swartz. She graduated from Cascia Hall Preparatory School in the class of 2000, then furthered her education by obtaining degrees in Zoology and Animal Sciences before going on to earn her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine in 2009, all from Oklahoma State. Mary then went on to complete an internship at Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, Virginia and a residency back at Oklahoma State in Stillwater before moving back to Tulsa to start her own practice in 2012. She would specialize in equine reproduction along with chiropractic and acupuncture on all species and go on to build a successful business and make a lasting impact on the entire community. In the summer of 2021 Mary would finally connect with the love of her life, Zac Davis. They were married on April 29th, 2024, and managed to pack an incredible amount of life, love, and adventure in to the years that they had together.
Mary was deeply connected with a vast number of family and friends for the entirety of her life, and continuously cultivated new meaningful relationships through her extremely kind heart and immense amount of love she had to share. She always had a very special bond with animals, and had some amazing dogs, horses, and even cats over the years on top of turning that in to a successful career. She had a very strong love for music throughout her life and made many amazing memories attending shows all over the country with some of her closest companions. Her family and friends will always remember her as a strong, kind, loving, adventurous and just all-around beautiful person that never failed to light up any room she walked in to.
She is survived by husband Zac Davis, brother Jordan Swartz, stepmother Kari Swartz, and fur babies Felina, Fulton, and Leon.
She is preceded in death by mother Michele Swartz and father David Swartz.
In lieu of flowers, the family would like to ask for donations to the Dr. Mary Swartz Veterinary Scholarship fund at Oklahoma State University to ensure her continued legacy.
