Obituary

Mary Kathryn Wollmershauser

Mary Kathryn Wollmershauser passed away peacefully to be with the Lord on September 11, 2011. She was surrounded by her loving family, including Charles Wollmershauser, the love of her life, and husband for over 66 years.
Kathryn was born on December 31, 1925 in Nevada, Iowa, to Roy and Rosie Frazier, who preceded her in death. She met Charles while he was attending Iowa State University. They fell in love, married, and raised a family to be proud of.
Throughout her life, Kathryn has been a support to her family and her community, volunteering as PTA President, President-Elect of the Lad and Lassies Dance Club in Cincinnati, Ohio, Junior Women's Club in Cincinnati, and working with the Tulsa St. Francis Hospital Auxiliary. She loved to play bridge, and she and Charles played regularly with dear friends. They traveled extensively, visiting many wonderful destinations including Greece, England, France, Germany, Rio, Aruba, and Hawaii. She loved to cook and the entire family treasures her recipes and kitchen know-how. We will especially miss her Christmas fudge! She loved sports, and was an avid fan of the St. Louis Cardinals, the Dallas Cowboys, and the OU Sooners. In her later years, Kathryn was "Mom" to the employees and customers of Home Hardware, where she devoted countless hours making sure the pop was in the fridge and the shipping department was running smoothly.
Kathryn's most important accomplishments, in her view, were her precious children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She blessed the lives of her daughter, Ann, and husband Denny Rogers, with children Greg (Carrie), Mike (Kari), Emily, and Eric, her son, Charles Jr. and wife Kathy, with children Tim and Jeff, her son, Mark and wife Peggy, with children Amy and Mark Jr. (Elizabeth), and her son, Matthew and wife Laurie, with children Tyler, Justin, and Bailey. She will be remembered with great love by her great-grandchildren Alex and Kaitlyn Rogers, and her brother-in-law Richard Wollmershauser and wife Barbara of Tulsa, with children Jon (Lauren) and James (Audrey) and their son, Grayson.
