Obituary

MaryAnn Moore Turner went to her heavenly home on Dec 25, 2011.

She was born to Jack and Edith Moore on Sep 18, 1933 in El Reno, OK. MaryAnn had two older brothers, Thomas and Patrick Moore. MaryAnn grew up in Guthrie, OK where she graduated from Guthrie High School. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Guthrie where she wed Bobby Burton Turner on June 7, 1953.

She spent her college years at Oklahoma State University where she joined Alpha Chi Omega Sorority. MaryAnn joined Christ the King Church in Tulsa in 1963 where she has been a member ever since. She was very active in her parish and Marquette school, which all five of her children attended.

MaryAnn was a real estate broker and property manager for many years.

Her favorite hobby was playing bridge. She was active in many bridge clubs and played frequently. MaryAnn was active in antique car clubs with her family, she and Bob owned several antique cars.

MaryAnn was the matriarch of a large and loving family, and will be greatly missed by her family. Her survivors include husband, Bob Turner, of the home; sons, Jeffrey and wife Patricia Turner of Norman, OK, Joseph David Turner, Jim and wife Cherrie Turner; daughter, Julie Nelson and companion Curtis Brown; daughter-in-law, Pamela Turner; all of Tulsa. Brother Pat and wife Joan Moore and sister-in-law, Cathie Moore of Jackson MS; grandchildren, Ryan Collins, Deidra and husband Olen Duncan, Alexis Turner, Stephanie Nelson, Thomas Nelson, Jonathan Nelson, Chloe Turner, Jack Turner, Kari Gary and husband Peter Bagwell; great grandchildren, Kimberly and Kaleb Nelson. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Edith Moore, her brother, Thomas Moore, and one son, J. Christopher Turner.

Visitation will be held from 2:00 to 4:00 on Sunday at Fitzgerald Ivy Chapel, 1402 S. Boulder Ave., Tulsa, OK, with a Rosary service held at 7:00pm Sunday at Christ the King Church. Funeral mass will be held on Monday, Jan 2, 2012 at 10:00 at Christ the King Church, 1520 S Rockford, Tulsa, OK.

Flowers would be well received or donations to Catholic Charities in lieu of flowers.
