Micaela Lee Gero, 54, of Tulsa, died on Saturday, April 28, 2018. A rosary will be held at 6:30 PM, on Thursday, and a Memorial Mass will be held at 3:30 PM on Friday, both at the Church of St. Mary.
Micaela was born in Lawton, OK on May 14, 1963, the daughter of Charles Alvin and Bette Gail (Richardson) Thurman. She grew up in the Norman, OK area, graduating from Norman High School in the class of 1981. She furthered her education by attending the University of Oklahoma, earning her Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration. She worked in the healthcare field for over twenty years, most recently as a financial analyst at St. John's.
She was a loving mother to her three children. She enjoyed spending time with family and was a friend to all. Micaela was a thoughtful and caring woman with a great sense of humor. She was an active member of the Church of St. Mary's, where she found a home with her sisters in Christ.
She is survived by two daughters, Kevyn Gero, and her wife, Lindsey, of Lawrence, KS, Paige Gero, of Dallas, TX, son, Jack Gero, of Tulsa, OK, husband, John Gero, of Tulsa, mother, Bette Tindel, of Norman, OK, stepmother, Margaret Thurman, of Eufaula, OK, two sisters, Karolin Thurman, of Norman, OK, Katrina Thurman, of Philadelphia, PA, brothers, Quint Thurman, and his wife, Caryn, of New Mexico, and Chris Gregg and his wife, Jill of Marquette, KS and numerous other family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, and step father, Dennis Tindel.
Memorial donations may be made in Micaela's name to the Church of St. Mary (Retreat Ministry) or to Catholic Charities of Eastern Oklahoma.
