Michael Sean Carter suddenly passed away Sunday May 4, 2014 in Okmulgee OK. He was born May 25, 1969 in Alexandria VA to Gene and Joyce (Carnahan) Carter.
He grew up in Dallas TX and graduated from Bishop Dunn High School.
Michael had an incredible thirst for knowledge; he obtained several different degrees from different Universities and never stopped learning.
He moved to Oklahoma to be involved in his children's lives. Being a father was the single most important event in his life.
In 1998 he met Elizabeth (Beth) and married her in 2002, In Tulsa, OK.
In 2009 he was up for a new challenge and joined the U.S. Army Reserves to help provide for his family. He was assigned to the 316th QM BN in Okmulgee OK. His Platoon Sergeant said "he would always think of his soldiers needs and put their needs above his own."
He is survived by his wife Beth of Jenks OK, his daughter Makayla of Tulsa OK, his son Cory and wife Katie of Buford SC and 2 grandchildren Levi and Kaylee, his sister Cyndy and her husband Sam Horton, his nieces and nephews; and the rest of his family and friends.
Visitation will be Friday May 9th from 6-8 pm and the Service will be Saturday at 11:00 am at Fitzgerald Southwood Colonial Chapel.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be given to the Tulsa Air and Space Museum and planetarium,
