Michael "Mike" Lee O'Dell, 63, passed from this life on March 28, 2023, after a short, unexpected time in the hospital. Mike left us peacefully, surrounded by his loving family. Mike was born on July 9, 1959, in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Shirley and Charles O'Dell. At the time of his passing, he was co-owner and founder of Blue Arc Specialties in Claremore, OK. He started his career in the Navy as a welder/pipefitter and progressed through positions as lead welder, engineer, and head of Research and Development in the field of Aircraft Repair before starting his own business. Mike was a veteran of the US Navy where he served his country proudly. Mike married the love of his life, Joyce on April 18, 1980, and made their home in Claremore OK.

Mike is survived by his wife, Joyce O'Dell; son, Brian O'Dell; daughter-in-law, Stacy; and grandchildren, Sawyere, Lincoln, and Ryker. Additionally, he leaves behind sister, Sareta Carmody and husband Gary; sister, Diana Ottinger and husband Mike; and stepparents, Mike and Kathy Reddy and Paula O'Dell; along with a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many, many friends. A Celebration of Life will be Saturday, April 1st , at the First Methodist Church of Claremore, 1615 OK-88, Claremore, OK, at 2 p.m.
