Mindy Sue Prescott was born on December 21, 1957, in Brooklyn, New York, and died on December 18, 2025, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was 67. She was preceded in death by her father, Seymour, and her sister, Ronna. She is survived by her mother, Isrella; her husband, Harris; her children, Rachel (Jon), Alex, and Ari (Jai); and her grandchildren, Esti and Jack. Mindy was a beloved mother, daughter, grandmother, wife, aunt, and friend to many.
Mindy dedicated over 30 years to serving the Tulsa Jewish community, with stints at B'nai Emunah Preschool, Heritage Academy, and the Jewish Federation of Tulsa. During her time at the Federation, she was instrumental in programs such as the Adult Institute, the Tulsa Jewish Film Festival, and bringing the PJ Library program to Tulsa. In her free time, she loved spending time with her family and dogs, enjoying a Starbucks iced coffee, and sampling the salmon at every restaurant in town.
Mindy will be remembered for her kindness, warmth, and for always putting others before herself. She was often the first person one would see when entering the Charles Schusterman Jewish Community Center, greeting everyone with a smile and making sure they felt welcomed.
If you would like to donate in Mindy's memory, please consider Congregation B'nai Emunah, Zarrow Pointe, the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research, or a charity meaningful to you.
