Loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Mother-in-Law, Sister, and Daughter. Mollie brought happiness to the world, her beloved family, and friends. She never met a stranger. She lived a self-described "fairy tale life," proudly referring to herself as "Mollie Davis from Poughkeepsie." Born in Poughkeepsie, New York, to immigrant parents from Romania, Mollie moved to Tucson, Arizona at the age of 23. She met her husband, Irving Coretz, in Tucson and they were married in 1954. Tucson, where they raised their four sons, remained their home for nearly fifty years. Mollie and Irving moved to Tulsa in 2000.
Mollie lovingly instilled values of compassion, hard work, and the importance of family in all of her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by: three of her four sons and their wives, Michael and Ulla (of Tucson), Alan and Heidi (of Dallas), and Rob and Kim (of Tulsa); and nine grandchildren, Adam, Ariella, Mindy, Tyler, Samuel, Ryan, Daniel, Amy, and Hannah. Irving Coretz, her husband, and Craig Coretz, her son, predeceased her.
She leaves behind an indelible mark on the lives of many, and she will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Donations in her memory can be made to the "Mollie and Irving Coretz Music Fund", c/o Tulsa Jewish Retirement and Health Care Center, 2025 E 71 Street, Tulsa, OK 74136.
