Nancy Lea Hensy, age 75, passed away Wednesday, May 12, 2010 in Tulsa, OK. Nancy was born in Tulsa, OK on December 11, 1934 to John and Salyne (Wilson) Detamore.

Nancy married her sweetheart, Philip Hensey, in August 1954 at Christ the King Church.

She was preceeded in death by her parents John and Salyn and by her son-in-law, Jeff Priestap. She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Philip Hensey, her daughters, Kathy Price and husband, Michael, Linda Priestap and Jane Graham of Denver, CO, her son Paul Hensy and wife Eileen of Roanoke, TX, her sister Kathleen Houston and brother Bill Detamore and wife Joanne, both of Tulsa and brother-in-law, Michael Hensy and wife Jerry-Jo of Pawhuska, OK, 8 grandchildren: Ryan and Meghan Price, Laurel and Janie Priestap, Amanda Graham, Shane and wife Melissa Graham and Caty and Jackie Hensy.

Throughout her life she was a dedicated and loving wife, mother and grandmother. During the last 30 years she spent many months visiting her children and grandchildren and traveling around the world. She and Phil lived in Paris, France for two years looking after two grandchildren. Nancy loved to hike and camp in the Rockies with huer husband and children. She volunteered at Neighbor-for-Neighbor for 25 years and taught in an after-school program at the Church of the Resurrection, where she was a member. In addition to her love of travel, she had a variety of interests including gardening, cooking, yoga, sewing and getting together with friends and family. She appreciated music and attended the opera and ballet for years.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, May 16, 2010 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. with prayer service beginining at 7:00 p.m.at the Church of the Resurrection. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, May 17, 2010 also at the Church of the Resurrection.
