Obituary

Nancy was born in Tulsa, OK to Marilyn Louise (Semtner) Rodgers and Richard F. Rodgers on February 3rd, 1952. She graduated from Bishop Kelley High School and received her B.S. degree in Nursing from Loretto Heights College in Denver, CO.
Nancy loved her time in Colorado and always swore it was the best place on Earth. After working for a time as an orthopedic nurse in Colorado she returned to Tulsa. She worked in nursing her whole life, serving at St. Francis Hospital for twenty-eight years. She especially loved her work as a case manager for The Children's Hospital at Saint Francis. Her closest friends whom she cherished so dearly were the many colleagues she worked with through the years. Nancy was an animal lover her whole life and fostered many sweet (and some not so sweet) cats throughout the years. Nancy enjoyed cooking, needlework, and gardening. She was the queen of hilarity when it came to Christmas and birthday cards and could never be beat at a good game of Gin Rummy. She was also known for being particularly funny, stubborn, and smart. Mostly though, she enjoyed being a mother to her son.
Nancy is survived by her devoted and loving son, Jeff Rodgers, of Dallas; her sister, Beth Rodgers Mockley, of Tulsa; her brother and his wife, Rick and Kathy Rodgers, of Tulsa; her nieces, Lauren Bogie, Mary Bogie, and Kay Rodgers; her nephews, Matt Rodgers and Mark Rodgers.
Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 12:00 PM on Thursday, May 7th at the Church of St. Mary. Entombment to follow for family only.
