Neva Welch, Feb 15th, 1933 – Dec 1st, 2013. Devoted wife, loving mother, cherished friend.
Neva Jo Stillwell (Welch) was born in Soper, OK to mother Lydia (Ashcraft) Stillwell, and father Lura Clyde Stillwell. She was sister to Opal Hammit and Larry Stillwell, and aunt to Lynn Miller, Debbie Fox, Roy Hammit, and Bill Hammit.
She grew up in Freer, TX, where she met & married the love of her life Charles E. Welch while he was stationed in San Antonio, TX. They devoted their lives to each other for 60 years, until he preceded her in death by one month. They are now reunited in heaven, forever and always.
Neva is survived by daughters Lori Welch, Susan Dougherty, Jennifer Greene, and son Charles Welch Jr.. She also leaves behind daughter-in-law Cheryl Welch, sons-in-law Phil Dougherty, Steven Greene, grand-daughters Kiley, Sarah, Jenny, Haley, Ashley, and great-grandson Bradley.
As we mourn her passing, we also rejoice in the fact that she is now free, no longer trapped inside the disease that is Alzheimer's.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Alzheimer's Association. Memorial service 3:00 p.m. Thursday, December 12, 2013 at Redeemer Covenant Church.
