Norma Lee (Burd) Pratt, 88 of Tulsa, OK, entered into heaven Tuesday, June 2, 2021, with family and loved ones by her side. She passed after a lengthy illness at Aspen Health and Rehab, Broken Arrow, OK.
Norma was born on December 1, 1932, in Tahoma, Oklahoma, to Jessie A. Burd and Pearl E. (Monks) Burd. She was the youngest of 4 children.
Norma married Kenneth Wayne Pratt and made their home in Muskogee, Oklahoma. They were members of a small Baptist church where she volunteered. She worked in industrial and retail sales while raising their two children.
Norma is survived by her daughter Susan L. Dean and husband Floyd, of Tulsa, her son Michael W. Pratt and wife Debbie, of Houston, Texas, 4 grandchildren; Elizabeth Dean, Kimberlea Knowles, Joshua Pratt, and Kristen Merkle, 5 great grandchildren; Lyrah Pratt, Nuala Dean, Forrest Knowles, Bobby Knowles, and Tristyn Merkel. Norma was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth, her parents, one brother and two sister's.
Norma had a big heart, and put other people's needs first. She loved and cared about her family and friends and wanted to make things better for them. She tried to help everyone, including the nursing home residents and nursing staff. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, playing card games, scrabble, word games, bingo, and crossword puzzles.
The family is making plans for a small graveside service in Ada, Oklahoma where she will be laid to rest next to her husband.
