Norman Selph Cass, born in Stillwater, OK December 18, 1925 to JB and Layla Cass, died on July 7, 2012 at his home in Tulsa at age 86. Norman graduated from Tulsa Central High School in 1943. After three years serving in WWII, he graduated from Oklahoma A&M in 1949 with an Engineering degree.
Norman was preceded in death by his parents, his brother James, his first wife of 46 years, J'Ann, and his eldest son, Richard.
Norman was a deacon at Kirk of the Hills Presbyterian Church, active in Southeast Rotary, Tulsa Young Men's Club, and the Tulsa Homebuilders Association.
He was an avid golfer (with 5 holes-in-one) and a longtime member of Tulsa Country Club. After retiring from homebuilding, he and J'Ann spent nearly 20 years playing golf year-round in Tulsa, Hawaii, and Colorado.
Norman is survived by his wife of 11years, Pamela, daughter and son-in-law, Cynthia and Ed Clark of Bixby, son and daughter-in-law, Rob and Renae Cass of Tulsa, seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
The family would like to thank his caregivers over the last few years, especially Miss Lee, Kantreca, and Tim. Donations accepted by the American Lung Association.
Funeral Services will be at 10:30 am Thursday, July 12 at Kirk of the Hills Presbyterian Church at 4102 E 61st Street in Tulsa. Visitation is at Fitzgerald Southwood Colonial Chapel at 3612 E 91st Street on Wednesday 5-7 pm.
