Starts at 2:00 pm (Central time)
Patricia Allison "Mimi" Brewster, 93, passed away peacefully on March 28, 2026, leaving behind a
legacy of love, leadership, and lifelong dedication to others.
Mimi was a remarkable woman who touched countless lives over the course of her 93 years. She
was deeply devoted to her family, her students, and her community, and carried herself with a
strength, grace, and generosity that left a lasting impression on everyone who knew her.
She dedicated 45 years of her life to education, including 25 years teaching at Holland Hall School, where her passion for children and commitment to shaping young minds were evident every single day. Teaching was not just her profession-it was her calling. Her love of children was paramount, and she poured her heart into helping others grow, learn, and succeed.
Beyond the classroom, Mimi was an active and influential member of her community. She served
as a member and past president of the Delta Kappa Gamma Honor Society for Teachers and was
involved in numerous leadership and service organizations throughout her life. She also served as
a member and past president of Kappa Kappa Delta, contributed to the Tulsa Council, and
remained engaged in various community and professional associations.
Mimi's dedication extended far beyond her local community. She served as editor of the Oklahoma Retired Educators Association newsletter, championed international projects through the International Leadership Association, and took on national leadership roles supporting Teachers Day initiatives and fundraising efforts. Her passion for education and service even led her to design and implement a reading program for the Cherokee Indian Tribe in Tahlequah-just one example of her lasting impact.
Later in her career, Mimi worked as a consultant for Scott-Foresman Publishing Company,
continuing to influence education even after her years in the classroom. She officially retired from
Holland Hall School in May of 1996, though her role as a mentor, leader, and inspiration never truly ended.
She was also a woman of strong faith and was a member of the Lutheran Church of Tulsa, later
attending Baptist church, where she continued to build meaningful relationships and serve those
around her.
Above all, Mimi was a loving mother, grandmother, teacher, and friend. She is survived by her
daughter, Deborah Kay; her grandchildren, Jeremy Draper, Carly Green, and Zach Brewster; along with generations of family, friends, students, and colleagues who will forever carry her influence with them.
To know Mimi was to be loved, guided, and inspired. Her wisdom, kindness, and unwavering belief in others will be deeply missed, but never forgotten.
A private service will be held in Tahlequah, Oklahoma, with close friends and family in attendance.
Mimi will be laid to rest beside her mother and brother.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you honor Mimi by remembering her with gratitude, sharing
kindness with others, and continuing the spirit of generosity and love that she lived every day.
